I am Khene Rae G. Paranga, A senior student of West Visayas State University- Integrated
Laboratory School. I have been nominated as one of the youth delegates bringing the flagship of an
Young Leader to attend the One Young World Summit. This amazing opportunity will be held at
Pittsburgh,USA. I was selected because of my excellent leadership and sincere interest as a passionate
young leader. I am extremely excited about this student leadership experience and traveling to
Pittsburgh,USA. However, the cost of the summit is more than my parents and I can contribute, so I am
writing to ask if you will sponsor me with a financial contribution.

The One Young World is the premier global forum for young people of leadership calibre. The
annual Summit brings together the young generation’s brightest and best to ensure that their concerns,
opinions and solutions are heard.

Attached herewith is the confirmation letter from One Young World for your perusal.
My participation in this summit depends on whether I can raise $5200 in sponsorships. This
includes the costs of their return airfare to the host city of Pittsburgh USA, hotel accommodation,
sustenance, transportation in the host city and costs associated with event logistics. I am hoping
that you will consider sponsoring me with some or all of these costs. I have also contacted other
organizations for their financial assistance. My tuition must be paid not later than July 18, 2012.

This letter serves as a confirmation that Khene Rae G. Paranga, a motivated young leader from Philippines, has
been pre-selected as a suitable representative of their country and generation for the One Young World Summit to
be held in Pittsburgh, USA, 18-22 October 2012.

Criteria include being born after 1986 (though exceptional delegates over the age-limit will be considered),
teamwork, leadership potential and skills, concern and knowledge about global issues, ability to generate and
articulate impactful ideas, evidenced commitment to volunteering or other extracurricular activity. Delegates meet
people like them from almost every country in the world, and are inspired by some of the world's great leaders,
there to hear what the ‘millennial’ generation has to say about what can be done, and what they are already doing.

One Young World is a global leadership summit, providing a platform for delegates’ views, visions and ideas to

1,200 delegates primarily under-25 from 171 countries. Unlike any other event in the world, One Young World
