Expressing my imagination and
creativity through multimedia is my Passion and I believe that through this
influential medium to the public, I can fulfill my vision for the Philippines.
My name is Khene Rae G. Paranga. I
am a visual artist, film maker, graphic designer, a journalist and also a
volunteer who is in sincere service for Humanity. My interest in multimedia started when I was
in fifth grade wherein I learn on how to express my creativity in a different
way which is through multimedia.
When I reach High School I realized
that there are a lot of things that needs to be changed and this CHANGE is the
change that would give STOP on all Political Conflicts , Environmental
Problems, Violence and Unharmonious Relationship within mankind. So what is dreaming without
Action? I believe that through Media, I can make a difference. Yes, the uses of
Media nowadays are being abused by the people and a lot of them were influenced
and was led to unwanted crimes and injustices. I know that reengineering this
perspective would be the solution to all the problems I’ve mentioned. And this
reengineering I’m saying would flip the negative influences into a positive
one. We can use this medium to inspire, motivate and aspire Filipinos to become
great citizens of this country. It is also the way to help me spread the
importance of human rights, protect the marginalized from oppression, discuss
the importance and the role of the youth
on the environment, and give some inspiration on how an individual can lead to
significant social change.
Because of my passion in multimedia
arts I was able to create and found CreaITive
Digital Media Artist Group. It is a university accredited organization composed
of young multimedia artists in our school. Here, we create projects for the
university and support events organized by the different student councils and
organizations in our community. Our members consist of film makers, graphic
designers, photographers, sound designers and lot more. We hold trainings and
workshops for our members so that they could foster their talent and skills in
multimedia in order for them to create a creative and quality output. Through
my leadership, we were able to win and join competitions around the Philippines
and Abroad.
If you ask me if how much I love my
Passion as an artist, well I can give you a more than a hundred percent. My
passion is really driving me crazy that’s why I won’t give any hesitation on
pursuing it. One time I came to think to take up Medicine on my college but it
seems that my passion in arts and designing is so strong enough wherein no other interest can break through. And only
this dream is the only one who could
help spread on giving the depth view of the importance of culture and art in
the creation and preservation of Filipino identity and the value of education
for personal growth and development
All Day, all night - I spent each
of my spare time on learning new ideas. I browse online tutorials for editing
techniques on adobe illustrator, adobe premiere and adobe after effects,
checkout artworks for some ideas, join online forums on film making techniques
and styles, and get updates on what’s new.
This vision and talent I had
brought me a lot of opportunities. I was able to travel on the different places
of the Philippines like Central Mindanao University at Bukidnon to join the
National Youth Congress, attend Metro Manila Film Festival- Film Making
Workshop in Cebu, and be part of the National Youth Development Summit held at
one of the finest university in Dumaguete.
Entering
La Salle College of St. Benilde would be a great opportunity for me to further
hone my skills and talent as an artist. Last summer I was busy looking for a college
that would be a great fit for my personality and interest. I checked a lot of
schools who are offering courses on the field of Arts and Design and it seems
that only St. Benilde has the best standards for the college I’m looking. Quite
frankly, there are really great schools here in our country who are making
their effort to clearly differentiate themselves. However only DLS-CSB has best resources, facilities, mentors and has a strong academic programs which
enables them to have the capacity to create great minds. Yes it’s true! I have
read online articles and it was according to survey that DSL CSB graduates get hired fast because
employers had already proven the quality of education that DLS CSB is giving
through the performance of their Benildean employees.
With these, I won’t make a doubt to pursue my dream on this prestigious academy and I believe that through
this institution I would able to develop my talent and skills in multimedia,
mold my character as an individual person and help me fulfill my vision for my
nation.
