HINUGYAW SA HINIGARAN 2011

With the meaning "rejoice" on the Hiligaynon-English dictionary33rd  Hinugyaw sa Hinigaran 2011 (or in English, Rejoice in Hinigaran) became a successful event and was adored by most people in Hinigaran and other tourists as well.

Right across the historical  century year old church, on the plaza, you can see the colorful design made by the people for the preparation for the said event.

The century old church of Hinigara, taken right while i am riding on a motorcycle. This church was built in 1858. This can be seen along the way if youre on trip to southern part of Negros Occidental like Kabankalan.
On this said church, St.Mary Magdalene Parish,on the modern day, has the gold-silver bells.Aside from that the Church also has a relic of St.Mary Magdalene which came from Portugal long time ago.(Im not pretty sure if its Portugal)
On the History, this church greatly influenced the natives of Negros. As claimed by one Facebook user, this is the first church in the whole Negros.
Having strong influences, the parish of Hinigaran made it to be one of the richest parish in the whole Negros.
