A meaningful Life with God

Reflection:    Patriarchal History of Israel ( Minimum 250 words).  As we have heard the story (Genesis  to Exodus 1:1ff,) narated in class by your fellow classmates, what insights, thoughts or learnings have you now earned? 

Classic,Meaningul and Filled with Values - these are the most highlighted lessons learned upon reading the book of Genesis and Exodus.

It showed to us how meaningful life is and on how God gives value to us. The passages showed different stories,stories of  hopeless people, sacrifice, abandonment,protection, and understanding. There are different people coming from different generations involved in the stories, but one thing that gives commonality --- there were aided by God and God didnt let them get harmed. Even we are sinful,or less.. God still love us no matter what. He will take care of us. All we have to do is to trust him on whatever challenges we might have encountered.

I will mention some of the values:

 TRUST- Trust God no matter what happens. He will make sure that you will not get harmed.

LIFE IS A CHALLENGE- Life is really full of challenges, probably, God meant it for us to be challeged and improve our self for better

NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP - This is somehow connected to trust. Whenever you are at the most hopeless situation, remember, God is supporting you. He is holding your hands and is helping you carrying the weights.

GOD IS ALWAYS THERE- Omnipresence...he is the only being to posses this. Just like a commercial advertisement.. just a single call..anytime..anywhere... pray and it will be answered.

Through these stories we became closer to God. Its being closer to him inch-by-inch. And as we get closer to him through learning more of his words, we make our lives better. we grow,we develop and we became men of faith. 

To be honest i dont want to go to hell..neither heaven.

All I want is to have a life with God.

I enjoy his inspired words on the bible and everytime i reflect unto it, my life is getting better as i learn new things to value.

Mesopotamia and the Bible

The bible remained silent for a long time. There a lot conclusions made out of these bible skeptics but these  remained as unsolved mysteries over the long period of time.

The documentary weve watch caught our attention after it gives focus on our "origin accoding to faith". It emphasizes the detailed life series of the diferent ancient civilization, its life and its culture.However the there are intigruing parts that gives judgemental on our God's Existence.

I have learned a lot of things in the Documentary, Because it gives us the "Reality based of Faith" and the " Reality which is really happening. For example, there are a lot of claims about the existence of tower of Babel. But which one is really real? of course we couldnt reallydetermine because we dont have enough fact to suit up our judgement cup.

In the Book of Genesis, it is indicated that Eden is west of Assyria. Sure enough, this is where Gobekli is sited.

Likewise, biblical Eden is by four rivers, including the Tigris and Euphrates. And Gobekli lies between both of these.

In ancient Assyrian texts, there is mention of a 'Beth Eden' - a house of Eden. This minor kingdom was 50 miles from Gobekli Tepe.

Another book in the Old Testament talks of 'the children of Eden which were in Thelasar', a town in northern Syria, near Gobekli.

The very word 'Eden' comes from the Sumerian for 'plain'; Gobekli lies on the plains of Harran.

Thus, when you put it all together, the evidence is persuasive. Gobekli Tepe is, indeed, a 'temple in Eden', built by our leisured and fortunate ancestors - people who had time to cultivate art, architecture and complex ritual, before the traumas of agriculture ruined their lifestyle, and devastated their paradise.

It's a stunning and seductive idea. Yet it has a sinister epilogue. Because the loss of paradise seems to have had a strange and darkening effect on the human mind.

2013 DOST-SEI Scholarship List of Qualifiers

2013 DOST-SEI Scholarship List of Qualifiers has been released!

The Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) has released the 2013 DOST-SEI S&T Scholarships official list of qualifiers on Sunday.

The DOST Undergraduate Science and Technology Scholarship program provides two categories of scholarship – RA 7687 or Science and Technology Scholarship Program and the Merit Scholarship Program. RA 7687 scholars are those who belong to a family whose socioeconomic status does not exceed the set values of certain indicators as approved by the Advisory Committee on the S&T Scholarships. The Merit scholars on the other hand, are those who are above the standards of RA 7687.

Out of the 25,696 high school seniors who took the scholarship examination nationwide last November 2012, 3,597 qualify for scholarship, of these, 2,791 are RA 7687 scholars, while 486 are merit scholars. The rest are some potential qualifiers who are put on hold pending re-evaluation of some requirements.

My Vision for my Nation - An essay for De La Salle University - College of St. Benilde

Expressing my imagination and creativity through multimedia is my Passion and I believe that through this influential medium to the public, I can fulfill my vision for the Philippines.

My name is Khene Rae G. Paranga. I am a visual artist, film maker, graphic designer, a journalist and also a volunteer who is in sincere service for Humanity.  My interest in multimedia started when I was in fifth grade wherein I learn on how to express my creativity in a different way which is through multimedia.

When I reach High School I realized that there are a lot of things that needs to be changed and this CHANGE is the change that would give STOP on all Political Conflicts , Environmental Problems, Violence and Unharmonious Relationship  within mankind. So what is dreaming without Action? I believe that through Media, I can make a difference. Yes, the uses of Media nowadays are being abused by the people and a lot of them were influenced and was led to unwanted crimes and injustices. I know that reengineering this perspective would be the solution to all the problems I’ve mentioned. And this reengineering I’m saying would flip the negative influences into a positive one. We can use this medium to inspire, motivate and aspire Filipinos to become great citizens of this country. It is also the way to help me spread the importance of human rights, protect the marginalized from oppression, discuss the importance  and the role of the youth on the environment, and give some inspiration on how an individual can lead to significant social change.
